CalmNext Privacy Policy

Family routines stay private.

CalmNext does not require an account. Routine names, step order, completion history, settings, child nickname, custom pictures, and caregiver recordings are stored on the device.

Photos, camera, and microphone

A grown-up may choose a photo, take a photo, or record a short familiar prompt for a routine step. CalmNext uses those permissions only after a parent opens the protected setup area. These files remain on the device and are not uploaded by CalmNext.

Built-in voice and custom labels

Standard activity prompts use prerecorded audio files included with the app. A caregiver recording replaces the built-in prompt when saved. Personal steps speak only when a caregiver adds a local recording. CalmNext does not generate speech at runtime or send routine text, photos, or recordings to an AI or speech service.

Purchases

Apple or Google Play processes payments. RevenueCat receives an app-user identifier and purchase information needed to unlock CalmNext Plus and restore purchases. Purchase services connect only after a grown-up completes the parent gate and opens purchase tools. BrightByte does not receive full payment-card details or link purchase data to a child's routine content.

Optional parent feedback

A grown-up may voluntarily send an app idea from protected Settings. The submission contains the feedback text, app name, and category. It does not attach the child nickname, routines, photos, recordings, or an email address. Netlify processes the submission and basic network information needed to deliver it, filter spam, and enforce submission limits.

Optional adult launch list

A parent or caregiver age 18 or older may submit an email address, app interest, and adult confirmation through the public website to receive CalmNext launch and product updates. Netlify processes the form. BrightByte Apps does not request a child's name or other child information for this list and does not connect the email address to routines, photos, recordings, or purchase data. A subscriber can unsubscribe using any marketing email or request deletion by contacting support.

No advertising, behavioral analytics, or AI

CalmNext contains no advertising or behavioral-analytics SDK and does not use family data for targeted advertising, cross-app tracking, AI processing, or data sales.

Removing data

Use Erase all app data in the protected Settings area to clear routines, preferences, saved photos, and caregiver recordings stored by CalmNext on the device. Photos and recordings can also be removed from individual activity settings. Deleting the app removes its local data, subject to normal device backups.
