UntilSafe is being built to let an adult schedule a check-in, respond with a private PIN, and choose one independently opted-in trusted contact. Live calls and texts are not available yet.

The app does not listen to a date, track GPS, provide live monitoring, or contact emergency services.
What we are building
A short check-in, planned in advance.
The planned service uses fixed steps chosen in advance, not AI judgments about what is happening. The current test build demonstrates the screens only: it does not contact anyone.
2. Respond
Enter a private PIN in the app. If the check-in is missed, a short automated companion call can accept a keypad response.
3. Notify
A duress entry or no valid response can trigger a neutral text and call attempt to the adult trusted contact who already opted in.
Important limits
A check-in aid, not a safety service.
01No emergency response
UntilSafe is not 911, dispatch, an alarm company, a personal emergency response service, or professional monitoring.
02No listening or GPS
No microphone, speech recognition, call recording, GPS, background location, address-book, camera, or photo access.
03Delivery can fail
Phones, batteries, networks, carriers, software, providers, and trusted contacts can be unavailable or delayed.
Immediate danger? Leave when it is safe to do so and contact 911 or the appropriate local emergency service directly. Do not wait for UntilSafe.
Privacy-minded flow
Only the details needed for the check-in.
The planned service will require phone verification, independently agreed-to calls and texts, and store-verified subscriptions. It contains no advertising or cross-app tracking.
Independent consent
Typing a number does not enroll someone. The invited adult reviews the role, verifies the number, and affirmatively accepts.
Short event retention
Meeting alias, place text, and contact link are scheduled for redaction 24 hours after a plan closes; the remaining closed plan is scheduled for deletion after 30 days.
Account control
Users can delete the account in the app, and a public logged-out deletion-request path is available.
